Saigon Vietnam (also called Ho Chi Minh city), is the second largest city in Vietnam, after the capital city of Hanoi.The city is named after President Ho Chi Minh, the hero and the founding father of Vietnam. Therefore, the city must be of great importance to this country

Visiting Vietnam, you are sure not to skip traveling to Ho Chi Minh city Vietnam, a mega tourist center. In this city with a population of more than 9 million people, there are hundreds of attractive destinations, thousands of delicacies waiting for you to come and enjoy. I - Where is Saigon Vietnam?

Ho Chi Minh city is located in the South of Vietnam, borders Binh Duong province to the north, Tay Ninh province to the Northwest. Dong Nai province to the East and Northeast, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province to the Southeast, An Giang province, Tien Giang province to the West and Southwest. Saigon is a municipality directly under the Central Government of Vietnam, which means it has the same political, economical and jurisdictional rights as provinces in this country.

With an invested infrastructure as well as the shift from heavy industries to light industry and service, Ho Chi Minh city Vietnam has a GDP per capita of $6000 in 2018, 2.5 times higher than the country average level. While the city contributed 19% of GDP to the country in 2000, the number increased to 30% in 2014. Currently, it is still firmly holding this position. 

2 - The tourist hub of the South of Vietnam 

There are literally hundreds of destinations in this city. With 23 districts, each of which is home to dozens of historical sites, shopping malls, tourism areas, theme parks,..The number of places to go in Saigon Vietnam can be enough for tourists to spend months getting indulged in. Some of the most popular attractions in this city are namely the Notre-dame Cathedral Church, Independence Palace, Ben Thanh Market, Ho Chi Minh Museum,...

Saigon is also referred to as a sleepless city. Nightlife here is so diverse and special. With a long time of a whole night, you can approach night markets to enjoy street foods or buy souvenirs, going to noisy and sparkling bars, clubs or chilled-out teahouses,... Hanoi and ‏‏tourism in Ho Chi Minh City are the two biggest cities which dominate both ends of the country. However, between them exist a lot of differences that even those who come to these places once can easily realize. Because Hanoi in particular and the North of Vietnam in general is an old land which has been imbued with culture and tradition. Hanoi is even famous for being the millennial civilized capital which retains many historical architecture recording the development of the art of Vietnam over each stage of history.

Saigon Vietnam is a sharp difference. Because the Southẻn region has a much shorter lifespan, it is a young land. Moreover, because of the influence of American style after a long time of domination, the city residents develop a free and generous lifestyle like the Western, which is manifested by the way they dress, their way to spend money,...

4 - A city within a city 

One more interesting thing about this city is the existence of Thu Duc city which is the incorporation of 3 old districts including District 2, District 3 and Thu Duc district. The incorporation was based on the fact that the 3 districts all have complete infrastructure and facilities but are still under separate governments and policies.

In the context of downward economic growth without any solutions, the city authorities decided to combine these districts into a city and named it Thu Duc city so that they would be under a mechanism. The advent of this city is considered unprecedented but hoped to be a right step to boost the development of Ho Chi Minh city Vietnam. .
